The winter months can wreak havoc when it comes to rosacea flares. The frigid temperatures, dry air and strong, harsh winds rob skin of its natural lipid layer, which keeps the skin from drying out. The dry air from furnaces and other heating sources also suck the moisture out of skin.
Here are some tips to keep your skin calm and hydrated through the punishing months of winter:
Use luke warm water, not hot.
Hot water robs skin of moisture causing dry skin, so it's best to shower in lukewarm water.
Moisturize directly after bathing
